Easter Sunday Devotional
Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”
There was a moment… quiet, heavy, almost breathless.
A sealed tomb. A stone that said, “It’s over.” But Heaven doesn’t speak in full stops… only in resurrection. Easter is the day God rewrote the ending. Not just for Jesus, but for you.
What looked finished? It wasn’t. What felt buried? It wasn’t gone. What seemed silent? It was only gathering power.
Jesus didn’t just rise to prove who He was. He rose to show you what God can do with anything that feels dead in your life. Your peace. Your hope. Your future. Your joy.
Nothing is beyond resurrection. So today isn’t just about religion.
It’s about remembrance and reclaiming:
The same power that rolled the stone away is still rolling things away for you.
Easter Sunday Prayer
Father God,
Today I stand in awe of You. Not just for what You did but for what it means for me.
Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for the cross and even more, thank You for the empty tomb.
Lord, where I have believed things are over, breathe life again.
Where I feel buried under fear, pain, or doubt, roll the stone away. Restore my hope, renew my faith and revive my spirit.
Teach me to live like resurrection is real, because it is.
I surrender what feels dead to me, and I trust You to bring life where I cannot.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
