His Path is Better
Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
There’s a tug-of-war that happens inside us between what we can see and what God is doing behind the scenes.
Our minds want blueprints but God gives breadcrumbs and a trail to follow.
Our hearts want guarantees but God is asking us to trust him, and not just surface-level trust… but all your heart kind of trust.
The kind that says: “Even when this makes no sense… I still choose You.”
Because leaning on your own understanding? That’s like trying to read a whole story through a keyhole.
God sees the full picture.
Every detour, every delay, every door that didn’t open and none of it is wasted. When you submit your ways to Him, you’re not losing control, you’re handing the pen back to the Author.
And He doesn’t write messy endings.
Where in your life are you trying to “figure it all out” instead of trusting God? Just notice it! No pressure, no judgment.
That awareness alone is a step closer to peace.
Today’s Prayer
Lord,
Today I choose to trust You beyond what I can see. When my thoughts race ahead, slow me down.
When I try to figure everything out, remind me I don’t have to. Help me release control, and rest in the truth that You are already ahead of me, making a way where I cannot yet see one.
Straighten what feels confusing. Calm what feels uncertain. I place today fully in Your hands.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
