God Doesn’t Limit.

Ephesians 3:20

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.

There are moments in life where we quietly place limits on what we believe is possible. Not out of doubt in God…but because of what we’ve seen, what we’ve experienced, and what we’ve been through.

We pray… but cautiously. We hope… but with boundaries. Yet this verse gently interrupts that mindset.

It reminds us that God does not operate within the limits of our imagination. He is not working within what we think is “realistic.”

He is not bound by what feels probable. He is able to do immeasurably more. Much more than your carefully worded prayers. More than your backup plans. More than the quiet desires you haven’t even spoken out loud.

And here’s the part that changes everything… “…according to His power that is at work within us.” This isn’t distant. This isn’t far away. His power is already moving. Already working and alive within you.

Even in seasons where nothing seems to be changing… God is not inactive. Even when you cannot see it… he is building something beyond what you could have imagined.

Reflection

Where have you been limiting God?

Where have you quietly decided, “This is probably as good as it gets…”?

What if this verse is your invitation to lift that ceiling? To trust that God is not just meeting your expectations… but lovingly exceeding them?

 Prayer

Lord,

Forgive me for the ways I have limited what I believe You can do in my life. You are not bound by my understanding, my past, or my fears.

Help me to trust You beyond what I can see. Strengthen my faith to believe that You are working, even now.

Let Your power move freely within me and lead me into the fullness of what You have prepared.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
