Why You Shouldn’t Mock Demons and What Really Happens When You Do

There’s a strange trend online where people joke about demons, mock evil spirits, or treat taunting darkness like it’s entertainment.

But here’s the truth no one wants to say out loud. Mocking demons isn’t spiritual strength It’’s spiritual stupidity. Mockery isn’t warfare. Mockery isn’t authority. Mockery isn’t confidence in Christ.

Mockery is pride and pride is the one thing that instantly disconnects you from the grace that protects you. Because the moment you step out of humility and into arrogance… You’ve stepped out of God’s covering and into your own “strength.”

Spoiler alert: Your own strength is not enough.

Mocking Demons Puts a Target on Your Back

Picture this: you’re walking down the street, and a violent, unstable person is yelling at the sky. If you ignore him, he keeps yelling at the sky. But if you engage him, he turns on you.

Demons work the same way. They’re already noisy, chaotic, and trying to latch onto anyone they can. You’re basically shouting, “Hey! Over here! Come for me!” Mock them and you volunteer yourself as a direct opponent.

And trust me, they will. Not because they’re powerful. But because you stepped off holy ground and into human pride.

Mockery Is Not Warfare. It’s a Lack of Wisdom.

True spiritual authority looks like Jesus. Calm, clear, commanding, and rooted in God.

Jesus never mocked a demon. He rebuked them. He cast them out. Never once did Jesus stoop to their level.

Why? Because mocking is a flesh response. And that’s exactly what the enemy wants from you.

Yes, Jesus told demons to be silent but He didn’t say “shut up” in arrogance. He spoke with authority, not attitude.

Real power flows through humility, not sarcasm. Real authority operates on God’s terrain, not the enemy’s.

Mocking Opens a Door Because Mockery Is Pride

Here’s the part that hits hardest. Mockery is pride and pride cuts you off from grace and grace is your protection.

This right here? That’s the whole sermon.

Pride was the downfall of Lucifer. Pride is what turns hearts away from God. Pride makes someone think they can handle darkness without depending on the Holy Spirit.

But your true shield isn’t pride. It’s grace.

Grace is your covering. Grace is what makes demons flee. Grace is your protection.

But pride slams the door shut and leaves you uncovered on a battlefield you were never meant to fight alone.

Humility Is Your Armour. Not Your Weakness

Some think humility makes them soft. Some think reverence is fear. Some think taking spiritual warfare seriously is superstitious.

But the truth is this: Humility is wisdom. Reverence is awareness. Discernment is your God-given defence system. Stay full of the Spirit and stay under God’s covering.

Let authority flow through relationship and not performance.

The Safest and Most Powerful Position Is This:

  • Stay humble.
  • Stay under grace.
  • Use authority, not mockery.
  • Rebuke, don’t ridicule.
  • Stand firm, don’t show off.

Demons know exactly who carries the name of Jesus with authenticity. They also know when someone is puffed up and spiritually exposed.

Walk in wisdom.

Walk in reverence.

Walk in alignment.

Because that’s where the power is.
