1. Talk to Him like you talk to a friend.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t need poetic words, church vocabulary, or perfectly structured prayers to speak to Jesus. He isn\u2019t waiting for you to try and impress Him. He\u2019s waiting for you to be honest. Just talk to Him the way you speak to someone you trust deeply. Tell Him what you\u2019re feeling, what you\u2019re carrying, what you don\u2019t understand, and what you hope for. Even a single sentence whispered with sincerity becomes a prayer. Something as simple as, \u201cJesus, I want to know You. Help me see You clearly,\u201d opens the door for Him to step closer. He hears every attempt, even the shaky ones, even the quiet ones. He hears you because He loves you, not because you said it \u201cright.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read one small piece of Scripture a day.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t need to dive into long chapters or complicated passages. Start small. Even a single verse, a brief Psalm, a moment that feels manageable. Scripture wasn\u2019t given to overwhelm you. It was given to nourish you. Begin with The Gospel of John if you want to understand who Jesus truly is, or turn to Psalms when your heart needs comfort, honesty, and a place to rest. Let the Word meet you where you are instead of feeling pressured to meet some expectation. One gentle verse can shift your entire day. One moment of reflection can soften your heart. Faith often starts in whispers, not in grand gestures, so take it one breath, one line, one simple reading at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pay attention to the peace.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Jesus rarely speaks through chaos, pressure, or fear. More often, He speaks through peace and that sudden calm that washes over you when everything should feel heavy, or that quiet sense of safety that settles in your chest for no clear reason. If your heart becomes softer, steadier, or a little more anchored when you think about Him, that is His presence touching yours. Jesus doesn\u2019t shove Himself into your life. He invites you gently. His voice sounds like reassurance, not anxiety. His leading feels like rest, not stress. When peace appears in places where there shouldn\u2019t be any, that\u2019s Him whispering, \u201cI\u2019m here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t worry about what you don\u2019t know yet.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Faith isn\u2019t built in a day, and it\u2019s not a race to see how quickly you can learn everything. You don\u2019t need to understand the Bible from cover to cover to begin walking with Jesus. You don\u2019t need to have all the answers before taking the first step. Faith grows slowly like morning light creeping across a dark room, revealing things little by little. There\u2019s no pressure, no deadlines, no expectation for perfection. You\u2019re not behind. You\u2019re not late. You\u2019re not doing it wrong. You are simply learning the language of love, one soft moment at a time. Let Jesus teach you gently. He\u2019s patient with you, even when you\u2019re not patient with yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ask Him to reveal Himself to you.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

This is one of the simplest and most powerful prayers you can pray: \u201cJesus, show me who You are.\u201d And He will. He meets people uniquely and through moments that feel strangely meaningful, through conversations with others, through a verse that hits you unexpectedly, through a song that brings tears even though you don\u2019t fully know why, or through dreams that feel more like comfort than sleep. Sometimes He comes through sudden clarity. Sometimes through a soft nudge. Sometimes through an unexplainable peace. Jesus draws close to those who reach for Him, even if the reaching feels small. He honours every attempt to know Him.<\/p>\n\n\n

This is often the hardest part, especially for people who have been rejected, overlooked, or forced to be strong their whole lives. Receiving love can feel unfamiliar, even uncomfortable. But God is not asking you to earn His love through performance or perfection. He simply asks you to let Him in. You are allowed to be loved. You are allowed to be forgiven. You are allowed to start over, even if you feel unworthy. Jesus doesn\u2019t love you because you\u2019ve \u201cdone enough.\u201d He loves you because love is who He is. Let His kindness soften you. Let His gentleness rebuild you. Let His love become the safest place you\u2019ve ever known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember that Jesus isn\u2019t hard to find.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019re not chasing someone who is running from you. Jesus has been beside you in every chapter of your life. Even the ones you never want to revisit. Seeking Him doesn\u2019t mean starting from zero. It means turning toward the One who has been gently guiding you all along. He is delighted that you\u2019re reaching for Him. He is honored by your curiosity. He is moved by your desire to know Him. You don\u2019t need to be spiritually experienced, morally perfect, or emotionally steady. You just need a heart whispering, \u201cJesus, I want to know You.\u201d That\u2019s the beginning, the entire beginning. And from that moment on, He takes your hand and leads the rest of the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
